Fall Series 2011:
Crazy Love
Love is a word used very broadly in the English language. I say, "I love my wife," and I say, "I love a New York strip," using the same verb. Doesn't that seem odd? How can I express my immense love for someone like my wife using the same word I use to describe my feelings for a quality piece of meat? I am left with weak adverbs like very, deeply, or tenderly.
Over the next ten weeks were are going to the Scriptures to learn how we are to respond to and love God. The Bible speaks of a relentless, extravagant, consuming love that God has for his people and, in-turn we are to have for him. This love relationship is unprecedented. One might even call it Crazy Love.
