PRAYER: At whatever the cost, I will share my faith.

People who {pay attention to these pointless discussions} will become more ungodly, 17  and what they say will spread like cancer. …. … 23  Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments. You know they cause quarrels. 24  A servant of the Lord must not quarrel. Instead, he must be kind to everyone. He must be a good teacher. He must be willing to suffer wrong.

Read: Luke 18:1-8, 2 Tim 3:1-9, Prov 12:15-28, Neh 9

Luke 18:1 (GW) 1  Jesus used this illustration with his disciples to show them that they need to pray all the time and never give up.

PRAYER: YOU just like to hear me talk, don’t YOU!  I appreciate that YOU allow and even want a relationship with me.

Luke 18:4,7-8 (GW) 4  “For a while the judge refused to do anything. But then he thought, ‘This widow really annoys me. Although I don't fear God or respect people,… 7  Won't God give his chosen people justice when they cry out to him for help day and night? Is he slow to help them? 8  I can guarantee that he will give them justice quickly. But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”

PRAYER: I trust YOU, but I will keep calling out to YOU day and night.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 (GW) 1  You must understand this: In the last days there will be violent periods of time. 2  People will be selfish and love money. They will brag, be arrogant, and use abusive language. They will curse their parents, show no gratitude, have no respect for what is holy, 3  and lack normal affection for their families. They will refuse to make peace with anyone. They will be slanderous, lack self-control, be brutal, and have no love for what is good. 4  They will be traitors. They will be reckless and conceited. They will love pleasure rather than God. 5  They will appear to have a godly life, but they will not let its power change them. STAY AWAY FROM SUCH PEOPLE.

PRAYER: Except for witnessing possibilities, I won’t be spending much time with those folks.  May none of this culture rub off on me.

PRAYER: Help me to speak the truth, if I speak at all.

Proverbs 12:24,27 (GW) 24  Hard-working hands gain control, but lazy hands do slave labor. 27  A lazy hunter does not catch his prey, but a hard-working person becomes wealthy.

PRAYER: No lazy in me.  I will work hard as if I’m working for YOU.

Nehemiah 9:17 (GW) 17  They refused to listen. They forgot the miracles you performed for them. They became stubborn ….. But you are a forgiving God, one who is compassionate, merciful, patient, and always ready to forgive. You never abandoned them,

PRAYER: YOU are most amazing.  Thank YOU!!!!

Nehemiah 9:18-19 (GW) 18  … They committed outrageous sins. 19  But because of your endless compassion, you didn't abandon them in the desert. The column of smoke didn't leave them during the day, but it led them on their way. The column of fire didn't leave them during the night, but it gave them light to see the way they should go.

PRAYER: Thank YOU for YOUR constant love and supervision.

Nehemiah 9:20 (GW) 20  You gave them your good Spirit to teach them. You didn't keep your manna to yourself. You gave them water to quench their thirst.

PRAYER: I really appreciate YOU making YOUR Word available to me.

Nehemiah 9:29 (GW) 29  You warned them in order to bring them back to your teachings, but they became arrogant and would not obey your commandments. They sinned by not following your regulations. If anyone follows them, he will find life in them. But they gave you the cold shoulder, became impossible to deal with, and wouldn't listen.

PRAYER: I know we can be so hard to deal with, yet YOU remain faithful.

Nehemiah 9:32 (GW) 32  And now, our God, you are the great, mighty, and awe-inspiring God. You faithfully keep your promises. Do not consider all the hardships that we have been going through as unimportant. The hardships have come to our kings, leaders, priests, prophets, ancestors, and all your people from the time of the kings of Assyria until now.

PRAYER: As much as I don’t like the tough times, I appreciate the refining process in my life.  Keep burning off the dross.

THOT: God has an amazing interest in communicating with us little teeny humans.
