Yet, the world didn't recognize him. 11  He went to his own people, and his own people didn't accept him. 12  However, he gave the right to become God's children to everyone who believed in him.

PRAYER: This an amazing gift. Thank YOU!

John 1:14,16 (GW) 14  The Word became human and lived among us. We saw his glory. It was the glory that the Father shares with his only Son, a glory full of kindness and truth. … 16  Each of us has received one gift after another because of all that the Word is.

James 1:2-4 (GW) 2  My brothers and sisters, be very happy when you are tested in different ways. 3  You know that such testing of your faith produces endurance. 4  Endure until your testing is over. Then you will be mature and complete, and you won't need anything.

PRAYER: I will not quit.

James 1:6-7 (GW) 6  When you ask for something, don't have any doubts. A person who has doubts is like a wave that is blown by the wind and tossed by the sea. 7  A person who has doubts shouldn't expect to receive anything from the Lord.

PRAYER: We all struggle with doubt, yet YOU remain faithful to us, encouraging and ready to answer our prayers when we return to having faith.

James 1:9 (GW) 9  Humble believers should be proud because being humble makes them important.

PRAYER: I could stand to be a little more humble, I guess.

Jeremiah 1:7-8 (GW) 7  But the LORD said to me, “Don't say that you are only a boy. You will go wherever I send you. You will say whatever I command you to say. 8  Don't be afraid of people. I am with you, and I will rescue you,” declares the LORD.

PRAYER: I will go and share my faith trusting YOU along the way.

Jeremiah 1:19 (GW) 19  They will fight you, but they will not defeat you. I am with you, and I will rescue you,” declares the LORD.

PRAYER: I’d rather there not be any conflict, but I realize this is not heaven yet.  So I will be satisfied to have YOU with me during those storms.

Jeremiah 2:11,13 (GW) 11  Has any nation ever exchanged gods? (Their gods aren't really gods.) Yet, my people have exchanged their Glory for something that doesn't help them. 13  “My people have done two things wrong. They have abandoned me, the fountain of life-giving water. They have also dug their own cisterns, broken cisterns that can't hold water.
