If you use
this weekly guide - you'll cover all
of the Bible in just 300 days. This is sort of a
"Cliff Notes" version of the reading plan that Pastor John
uses. But it's more than just learning stuff. This helps
you to communicate with God. You'll hear Him, and He will hear

Read: Mat 26:17-35, Rom10, Psa 63, Deut 4-5
26:21-22 (TEV) 21 During
the meal Jesus said, "I tell you, one of you will betray me."
22 The disciples were very upset and began to ask him, one after
the other, "Surely, Lord, you don't mean me?"
PRAYER: We are all keenly aware of
our sin stained nature. Thank
YOU for YOUR grace and mercy.
26:26-28 (TEV) 26 While they were eating,
Jesus took a piece of bread, gave a prayer of thanks, broke it, and
gave it to his disciples. "Take and eat it," he said; "this
is my body." 27 Then he took a cup, gave thanks to God, and gave it to them.
"Drink it, all of you," he said; 28 "this is my blood, which seals God's covenant,
my blood poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
PRAYER: I am grateful for YOUR
sacrifice and the fact that YOU want to be with me… in me!!! Wow!!
26:31,35 (TEV) 31 Then Jesus
said to them, "This very night all of you will run away and leave
me, for the scripture says, 'God will kill the shepherd, and the sheep
of the flock will be scattered.' … 35 Peter
answered, "I will never say that, even if I have to die with
you!" And all the other disciples said the same
PRAYER: We mean well, but YOU really
are faithful to YOUR Word.
10:8-9,13 (TEV) 8 What it says is this: "God's
message is near you, on your lips and in your heart"—that
is, the message of faith that we preach. 9 If you confess
that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised him from death,
you will be saved. … 13 As
the scripture says, "Everyone who calls out to the Lord for
help will be saved."
PRAYER: Help me to reach more people
with this simple message of hope.
10:14-15 (TEV) 14 But
how can they call to him for help if they have not believed? And
how can they believe if they have not heard the message? And how
can they hear if the message is not proclaimed? 15 And
how can the message be proclaimed if the messengers are not sent out?
As the scripture says, "How wonderful is the coming of messengers
who bring good news!"
PRAYER: Again, I would like to be
one of those messengers. Show me
who I am to share this good news with.
(TEV) 3 Your
constant love is better than life itself, and
so I will praise you.
PRAYER: YOU are the center of my
(TEV) 7 because
you have always been my help. In the shadow of
your wings I sing for joy.
PRAYER: I will praise YOU even in
the worst of times, because I know that YOU are right there.
4:6 (TEV) 6 Obey
them faithfully, and this will show the people of other nations
how wise you are. When they hear of all these laws, they will say,
'What wisdom and understanding this great nation has!'
PRAYER: May YOUR church be Word wise
and fully obedient.
4:30-31 (TEV) 30 When
you are in trouble and all those things happen to you, then you will
finally turn to the LORD
and obey him. 31 He
is a merciful God. He will not abandon you or destroy
you, and he will not forget the covenant that he himself made with your
PRAYER: I hope I don’t stray, but if
I do thank YOU for YOUR mercy and grace.
5:1 (TEV) 1 Moses called together all
the people of Israel and said to them, "People of Israel, listen
to all the laws that I am giving you today. Learn them and be
sure that you obey them.
PRAYER: I will listen, learn, and
5:10,33 (TEV) 10 But I show my love to thousands of
generations of those who love me and obey my laws. … 33 Obey them all, so
that everything will go well with you and so that you will continue
to live in the land that you are going to occupy.
PRAYER: I do love YOU, may my
actions prove that.
Word must be heard, lived, and shared.
Read: Mat 26:36-56, Rom 11:1-24, Psa 64, Deut 6-8
26:39 (TEV) 39
He went a little farther on, threw
himself face downward on the ground, and prayed, "My Father,
if it is possible, take this cup of suffering from me! Yet
not what I want, but what you want."
PRAYER: I’ll make my requests,
but I also submit to YOUR better plan (whatever that might be).
26:40-41,43,45,56 (TEV) 40 Then
he returned to the three disciples and found them asleep; and he
said to Peter, "How is it that you three were not able to
keep watch with me for even one hour? 41 Keep
watch and pray that you will not fall into temptation.
The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."… 43 He returned once
more and found the disciples asleep; they could not keep
their eyes open. … 45 Then
he returned to the disciples and said, "Are you still
sleeping and resting?.... …
56 …." Then all the disciples left him and ran away.
PRAYER: How many of us remain
unprepared because we just didn’t pray. YOU deserve our full attention.
26:52 (TEV) 52
"Put your sword back in its place,"
Jesus said to him. "All who take the sword will die by the
PRAYER: Help me when I am
tempted to retaliate with anger instead of love.
11:5-7 (TEV) 5
It is the same way now: there is a
small number left of those whom God has chosen because of
his grace. 6 His
choice is based on his grace, not on what they have done.
For if God's choice were based on what people do, then his grace
would not be real grace. 7 What then? The people of Israel did not find what they were
looking for. It was only the small group that God chose who found
it; the rest grew deaf to God's call.
PRAYER: I plan on believing in
and living in YOUR grace. May I be gracious with others as YOU are
11:20-23 (TEV) 20
That is true. They were broken off
because they did not believe, while you remain in place
because you do believe. But do not be proud of it;
instead, be afraid. 21
God did not spare the Jews, who
are like natural branches; do you think he will spare you? 22 Here
we see how kind and how severe God is. He is severe
toward those who have fallen, but kind to you—if you continue in
his kindness. But if you do not, you too will be broken off. 23 And
if the Jews abandon their unbelief, they will be put back in the
place where they were; for God is able to do that.
PRAYER: I will humbly continue
to receive and re-distribute YOUR grace.
64:10 (TEV) 10
All righteous people will rejoice because of what the LORD
has done. They will find safety in him;
all good people will praise him.
PRAYER: I intend on being one of
the “good guys” today.
6:2-3 (TEV) 2 As
long as you live, you and your descendants are to honor the LORD your God and obey all
his laws that I am giving you, so that you may live in that land a
long time. 3 Listen
to them, people of Israel, and obey them! Then all will
go well with you, and you will become a mighty nation and live
in that rich and fertile land, just as the LORD, the God of our ancestors, has promised.
PRAYER: Speak Lord, YOUR servant
6:4-5 (TEV) 4 "Israel,
remember this! The LORD—and
the LORD alone—is our
God. 5 Love

and when you are away, when you are resting and when you are
working. 8 Tie
them on your arms and wear them on your foreheads as a reminder.
them on the doorposts of your houses and on your gates.
PRAYER: Spiritual graffiti is
cool! I could stand to
memorize more of YOUR Word on an everyday basis.
6:11-12 (TEV) 11 The
houses will be full of good things which you did not put in them,
and there will be wells that you did not dig, and vineyards
and olive orchards that you did not plant. When the LORD brings you into this
land and you have all you want to eat, 12 make certain that
you do not forget the LORD
who rescued you from Egypt, where you were slaves.
PRAYER: YOU know us well! I hope to remain humble,
grateful, and faithful to YOU.
7:4 (TEV) 4 because
then they would lead your children away from the LORD to worship other gods.
If that happens, the LORD
will be angry with you and destroy you at once.
PRAYER: I understand why we are
not supposed to let the world sneak into our hearts.
7:7-8 (TEV) 7 "The
LORD did not love you
and choose you because you outnumbered other peoples; you were
the smallest nation on earth. 8 But the LORD loved you and wanted
to keep the promise that he made to your ancestors. That is why
he saved you by his great might and set you free from slavery to
the king of Egypt.
PRAYER: Small as we are, I know
it’s about YOU and YOUR love.
Bless our humble congregation may we be a reflection of YOUR
power and grace.
7:9-10 (TEV) 9
Remember that the LORD your God is the only God and that he is
faithful. He will keep his covenant and show his
constant love to a thousand generations of those who love him
and obey his commands, 10 but he will not
hesitate to punish those who hate him.
PRAYER: Got it!
8:1 (TEV) 1 "Obey faithfully
all the laws that I have given you today, so that you may live,
increase in number, and occupy the land that the LORD promised to your
PRAYER: That’s my prayer for the
church, to truly live, increase in number, and make a positive difference
in our community.
8:3 (TEV) 3 He
made you go hungry, and then he gave you manna to eat,
food that you and your ancestors had never eaten before. He did
this to teach you that you must not depend on bread alone to
sustain you, but on everything that the LORD says.
PRAYER: YOUR Word is my bread. I
really do appreciate the daily strength I gain from it.
8:5 (TEV) 5 Remember
that the LORD your God
corrects and punishes you just as parents discipline
PRAYER: I’m not always excited
about that, but I really do appreciate that YOU do what YOU do out
of love for me. Wow!
8:12-14 (TEV) 12
When you have all you want to eat and
have built good houses to live in 13
and when your cattle and sheep, your silver and
gold, and all your other possessions have increased, 14 be sure that you do
not become proud and forget the LORD your God who rescued you from Egypt,
where you were slaves.
PRAYER: I know that can happen.
It has happened, forgive me!
8:17-18 (TEV) 17
So then, you must never think that you
have made yourselves wealthy by your own power and strength. 18 Remember
that it is the LORD
your God who gives you the power to become rich. He does this
because he is still faithful today to the covenant that he made
with your ancestors.
PRAYER: YOU have blessed the
work of my hands for sure! Thank YOU!
Jesus followers are not moved by numbers nor power but by God’s
grace and continual presence in their lives.
Read: Mat 26:57-75, Rom 11:25-36, Psa 65, Deut
26:70,74-75 (TEV) 70 But he denied it in
front of them all. "I don't know what you are talking
about," he answered, … 74 Then Peter said, "I
swear that I am telling the truth! May God punish me if I am not! I
do not know that man!" Just then a rooster
crowed, 75 and Peter remembered what Jesus had told him: "Before
the rooster crows, you will say three times that you do not know
me." He went out and wept bitterly.
PRAYER: I am so sorry for the
many times I’ve disappointed YOU, even denying YOU. Why do I fear man more than I
love YOU!?!! May I do better.
11:29 (TEV) 29
For God does not change his mind about
whom he chooses and blesses.
PRAYER: I grateful YOU are not
fickle like us.
11:33-34 (TEV) 33
How great are God's riches! How deep are his wisdom
and knowledge! Who can explain his decisions? Who can
understand his ways? 34 As the scripture says, "Who
knows the mind of the Lord? Who is able to give him advice?
11:36 (TEV) 36
For all things were created by him,
and all things exist through him and for him. To God

YOUR’s. I exist for YOU.

now you will see for yourselves that the LORD your God will go ahead of you like a
raging fire. He will defeat them as you advance, ….
9:4-5 (TEV) 4 "After
the LORD your God has
driven them out for you, do not say … you deserved it.
No, the LORD is going
to drive these people out for you because they are wicked. 5 It
is not because you are good and do what is right that
the LORD is letting
you take their land. He will drive them out because they are wicked
and because he intends to keep the promise that he made to your
ancestors, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
PRAYER: duly noted, yet I intend
to do and be good!
10:12-13,16 (TEV) 12 "Now,
people of Israel, listen to what the LORD your God demands of you: Worship the LORD and do all that
he commands. Love him, serve him with all your
heart, 13 and obey all his laws. I am giving them to you today for
your benefit. … 16 So
then, from now on be obedient to the LORD and stop being stubborn.
PRAYER: It’s all or nothing.
Forgive my lapses into stubbornness
11:13-16 (TEV) 13
"So then, obey the commands
that I have given you today; love the LORD your God and serve
him with all your heart. 14 If you do, he
will send rain on your land when it is needed, in the
autumn and in the spring, so that there will be grain, wine, and
olive oil for you, 15 and
grass for your livestock. You will have all the food you want.
not let yourselves be led away from the LORD to worship and serve other gods.
PRAYER: YOUR Word is my constant
guide. I do love and will

them on the doorposts of your houses and on your gates.
PRAYER: May there be more and
more holy “re-tweets” of YOUR Word this day and every day.
11:26-28 (TEV) 26 "Today
I am giving you the choice between a blessing and a curse— 27 a blessing, if you obey
the commands of the LORD
your God that I am giving you today; 28
but a curse, if you disobey these
commands and turn away to worship other gods that you have never

of the territory of all your tribes the LORD will choose the one place where the
people are to come into his presence and worship him. 6 There
you are to offer your sacrifices that are to be burned and your
other sacrifices, your tithes and your offerings, the gifts
that you promise to the LORD,
your freewill offerings, …. …
that time comes, you must not do as you have been doing. Until
now you have all been worshiping as you please, … 12 Be joyful there in his

are not to offer your sacrifices wherever you choose;
14 you must offer
them only in the one place that the LORD will choose in the territory of one of
your tribes. Only there are you to offer your sacrifices that are
to be burned and do all the other things that I have commanded you.
PRAYER: Guide each of us to that
“one place” we are to worship and sacrifice as a family.

we believers forget that we are made by Him and for Him, we go back

When Judas, the traitor, learned that Jesus had been
condemned, he repented and took back the thirty silver
coins to the chief priests and the elders. 4 "I have sinned by betraying an innocent man to
death!" he said. "What do we care about that?"
they answered. "That is your business!"
NOTE: for all
of Judas’ faults, he at least repented, gave back the money, and
sought to change the verdict.
PRAYER: Lord, forgive me the
times I’ve gone against YOUR will only to then try it after it’s
too late (like going back into the promised land.
12:1 (TEV) 1 So then, my friends,
because of God's great mercy to us I appeal to you: Offer
yourselves as a living sacrifice to God, dedicated to his
service and pleasing to him. This is the true worship
that you should offer.
worship doesn’t require a band and great speakers.
PRAYER: Lord, I am YOUR servant.
12:2 (TEV) 2 Do
not conform yourselves to the standards of this world,
but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change
of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God—what
is good and is pleasing to him and is perfect.
PRAYER: The world is out, and
YOU are in. Speak, Lord,
YOUR servant is listening.
12:3 (TEV) 3 And
because of God's gracious gift to me I say to every one of you: Do
not think of yourself more highly than you should. Instead, be modest
in your thinking, and judge yourself according to the amount
of faith that God has given you.
PRAYER: I’ve been humbled
before. I’ll take this
moment to do some honest self-evaluating.
12:5-6 (TEV) 5
In the same way, though we are many, we
are one body in union with Christ, and we are all joined to each

our different gifts in accordance with the grace that God has given
PRAYER: May everyone be patient
with the differences and encouraging of the unity of YOUR body.

should invite to see what YOU’ve done and
what YOU are doing.

if what they promise comes true, 3 do not pay any attention to them. The LORD your God is using
them to test you, to see if you love the LORD with all your heart. 4 Follow the LORD
and honor him; obey him and keep his commands; worship
him and be faithful to him.
PRAYER: This world keeps testing
and tempting me. I hope to remain faithful.
14:2 (TEV) 2 You
belong to the LORD
your God; he has chosen you to be his own people from among
all the peoples who live on earth.
PRAYER: I belong. I am chosen. Wow!

your God always.
PRAYER: Thank YOU for the ninety

My humble gift is an act of faith and appreciation.
15:6 (TEV) 6 The
LORD will bless you,
as he has promised. You will lend money to many nations, but
you will not have to borrow from any; you will have control
over many nations, but no nation will have control over you.
PRAYER: Help us all to be such
good stewards that this becomes true.
